What Is TMS?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), also called Magnetic Wave Therapy, Magnetic e_resonance Therapy ( MERT), iTMS, Deep TMS, dTMS,rTMS, SAINT TMS ( Stanford Accelerated intelligent Neuromodulation Therapy is a highly effective, safe, and non-invasive way to treat brain-based disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Autism, and addictions. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate or regulate a small network of nerve cells in the brain. This causes a change in how the brain controls these networks, causing a change resulting in elimination or reductions in these conditions. TMS is typically done in the office, with each session lasting between 3 to 30 minutes with 1 to 10 sessions conducted daily (45-minute break between sessions). There is no sedation involved, and patients can resume all daily activities immediately after each treatment. No referral is needed, and patients can continue taking their medications during the treatment. Since its first use in 1994, there have been no reports of any long-term negative side effects. Results of the changes caused by TMS are considered long-term for most patients.
